Join us after service on Sunday June, 30th.

SUMMER CAMP SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES, July 8-12

  • Volunteer Orientation ~ Friday, June 21; 6-7:30pm

  • Register online as a volunteer at www.amberleachurch.ca or speak to Nancy

  • We need your help in the morning or afternoon or even an hour a day!

      • Crew Leaders , am (5) – Lead a small group of children .

      • Station Leaders (am or pm) ( 10) – Lead a station, with supplies already prepared. Crafts, Science, Bible Drama, Games, Performing Arts, Sports

      •  Lunch Monitors (4)– Supervise children while they eat their lunch. (12-1:05 pm)

      • Decorations Help set up and decorate on July 3, 7-9pm and July 7, 12-2pm

      Snack Supplies (Please bring in by July 7)

    • 10 boxes of Cookies (peanut free)

    • 2 boxes of small freezies (100)

    • 120 clear plastic cups

    • 50 skewers

    • 250 paper cups (dixie style)

    • 250 small paper plates

    • 2 large bags mini marshmallows

    • 2 boxes Honey Graham cereal

    • 4 large Cheese blocks

    • 1 bags Smart food popcorn

    • 2 bags Stick pretzels

    • 5 bags Regular size marshmallows

    • 4 packages Two bit brownies

    • 4 packages Mini Cinnamon rolls

      Decorating & Craft Supplies:

      ·         Aluminum foil (We need lots!)

      ·         Aluminum pie plates

      ·         Toilet paper rolls

      ·         Old, working Christmas lights

      ·         Lava lamps & other science toys

      ·         Flexible aluminum duct and other metal cylinders

FAITH ON THE GO SUMMER KITS will be available for sign out starting June 23.
"A Faith on the Go Summer Kit is a way for your family to bring your faith to life with you on vacation this Summer. Just as we do on Sunday morning, you will have opportunities for Laughter and Fellowship, to Praise God, Pray, Hear God's Word, Give Thanks and Serve. Through it all we want you to remember to take Jesus with you."

  • Sign out a kit for as long as you want, bring it back to the church and make it available for another family to take on their vacation.

RIGHTNOWMEDIA

  • Amberlea has subscribed to "RightNow Media." This means that you, as a subscriber to the Amberlea mailing list, now have access to the RightNow Media library of over 10,000 videos at no cost to you.

PRE-AUTHORIZED REMITTANCE (PAR)

  • As we enter into the summer months would you consider PAR? 

  • Besides being convenient, using PAR (Pre-Authorized Remittance) your offering ensures regular monthly givings to help Amberlea’s ministry even when you are away. You will be providing a dependable flow of contributions, which increases the church’s overall financial stability. Why not participate in PAR?

C.O.V.E. SUPPORT GROUP

C- Caring O-Optimism V-Victory E-Encouragement 

C.O.V.E. is a support group for family who have a loved one living with mental health issues.

~ LIFE GROUPS 2019 ~

Life Groups are small groups of people that ‘do’ life together. There is a variety of groups to choose from, depending on what you are looking for. Groups meet on different days and times of the week at different locations and venues including homes, the church and restaurants. Groups have different themes, topics and interests. Groups for all people, some specifically for women, men, couples, families and youth. We encourage you to check one out, and try it out once. We promise you are not committed for life! :) Contact the host, ask questions and visit the group. See if it is a good fit for you.

MUSICAL THEATRE CAMP, July 29-August 2 and August 12-16 - 9am-4pm

Ages 7-15, $150/week

A community run MT camp that has fun rehearsing, playing drama games, and performing in a final showcase!

BREAKFAST CLUB

July 15- August 22, Monday-Thursday, 9am-12pm

Ages 4-11, $3/day

A children’s drop-in program. that includes Breakfast, Games, Stories, Music, & Crafts!

Going forward, Amberlea will send only ONE email per week with all the announcements for the week. You will receive the email from “admin@amberleachurch.ca” on Tuesday afternoon. If you have an announcement to send to the congregation, contact Rose, in the church office, by noon on Thursday.
